Grade Viewer is a small helper for looking at the grades your school already stores in StudentVUE. It is not a district system, and it is not a place where we collect or keep student records.
What this app does
When you sign in, this site sends your StudentVUE username and password to your district’s StudentVUE server and asks it for your gradebook. The reply is shown to you in the browser. The server in the middle exists only so the app can talk to StudentVUE. We do not use your login to change anything in the district system, and hypothetical / what-if scores never leave this device.
What we don’t keep
- We do not create accounts, mailing lists, or a database of students.
- We do not save your password or grades in a file, database, or backup that we review.
- We do not sell, share, or look through your gradebook.
- We do not send what-if scores, assignment edits, or “needed score” experiments back to StudentVUE or to anyone else.
What stays on your device
After you sign in, your browser keeps a short-lived, encrypted cookie so you don’t have to type your password on every page. That cookie lives on your device, not in a Grade Viewer account. Signing out deletes it. Charts, filters, and hypothetical assignments exist only in that browser tab until you leave.
Who actually has your grades
Your school and StudentVUE (Edupoint) already have your grades. Their privacy rules still apply. Grade Viewer does not replace those systems; it only displays what they return when you sign in.
Hosting
The site is hosted on infrastructure that delivers the app and relays those StudentVUE requests. Standard web logs from a host (such as the fact that a page was requested) may exist on that platform. We do not use that to identify students or read gradebooks.
Questions
If you did not mean to use this tool, sign out. That clears the cookie on this device. You can also close the tab. Nothing is stored for us to delete later, because we do not keep a copy.
